burning iso's

lately i've been having problems downloading linux iso's. and also burning them. like, my version of bittorrent freezes when it gets to 200 megabytes. so whats a good download manager to use? and also, am i burning them right, i use k3b and i just go up to tools and go to the dvd thing, and choose burn a dvd image. cause i'll burn a whole disk that supposedly has good integrity, and then the install stalls on one package.

K3b should work fine out the box, normally after the first startup of K3b it will ask you where, what and the burning speed of your cd/dvd burner so that solves that.

Your method for burning an image is sound, that's how i do it anyway, does Kb give no errors/warnings during the burn?

maybe try burning at a slower speed (i normally say 8 at the MAX)

The OP makes it appear that this is an ongoing problem. I believe it is a problem with a single .iso file, which is probably a bad distro release. FC$ and 5 had a few broken releases that would stall on certain packages.
