Burning DSL ISO
yeah so apparently im having some trouble burning a Damn small linux cd...
i used the windows roxio and just drug the iso over... when i tried to use it as a bootup on my older computer i made sure to set the cdrom as number 1 in the bios and im just having some trouble making that iso bootup... |

Have a look at the CD - you should see a number of files/directories. If you see a file called something.iso, you wrote te iso as a file to the disk. Same story as Nexus is relaying

Check the cd.
Insert the cd into the drive and see if you only have one file ending with .iso. an .iso file is the image of a cd and not a file so you usually have to open the cd burning software and burn a cd image.

No roxio will do the job, you just need to use the option where you can select how to burn data to your disc.

Start Creator Classic, then choose Burn from disc image file, locate where you have saved your .iso file, select it, then click ok, now click the burn disc icon (don't forget to adjust your burn speed if you can, down to 4x).

everytime i put the disc in and start the system it shows a command line... but it shows up with the A:\> drive and i tried to reset the bios with no a drive and tried to delete it and everything... and it still comes up every time... is this what's supposed to happen? |
