Burning cds with k3b

What do i have to do to make my mp3s into a format that k3b will read/accept for me to burn cds?

You can use this tool to convert them to .wav before using k3b :

http://outflux.net/software/pkgs/mp3cd/

or you may choose to write to CD directly with this tool :

$ mp3cd -d /dev/cdwriter /tmp/x.m3u

where /tmp/x.m3u contains list of mp3's with full path.

Use option -n if you want to check if it fits before actually writing.

or you could look out for a k3b mp3 plug-in for your distro. I simply drag and drop mp3 files into the audio-cd window in k3b and I get perfect audio cds.

compile k3b from source it tells you what you need or do like the guy above said

Distro => Linux distribution => name of the maintainer of your Linux based OS e.g. Suse, Redhat, Mandriva etc.

Do yourself a favour and put your linux distribution name in your profile so it shows when you post. That wy we can give you distro specific sollutions in a number of cases.

One way is to download mp32ogg, convert them to OGG then burn them with k3b.

If you want to go converting files, you might be interested in this link about an aduio-convert script that supports many formats.
