Congratulations! My advice would be

> Download the user guide from the Mint website and read it.
> Start using the programs you will use most and read their help. If you need LibreOffice, that has free ebooks available.
> Have a look at the configuration tools available from the menu, to see what they do and if you would like anything changed.
> Never be afraid to experiment, but never change a file without making a backup.
> Have a look at the software available, either just in the software installer or, to find suggestions, at

I always do a web search for, "Things to do after installing Linux (whatever distro)". It brings up some helpful information.

You can download the ISO file http://iso.linuxquestions.org/downlo...amon-64bit.iso then you would burn the image 'linuxmint-19.2-cinnamon-64bit.iso' to your media.

Hope this helps.
Have fun & enjoy Gnu/Linux!

Fred Sanford has a good point, which I'd completely forgotten. Have a look at these
https://fossbytes.com/things-to-do-a...ng-linux-mint/
https://www.ubuntupit.com/best-thing...ng-linux-mint/

The worthwhile steps are
> Enable the firewall with this simple command
Code:
sudo ufw enable
> Check for updates
> Install the Synaptic package manager, which is a bit better than the native one
> Check the start-up applications and remove anything that you don't need
> On a laptop, check the configuration of the power manager and install TLP
> Decrease swappiness
