building glibc...configure: error: cannot compute sizeof (long double)

Hey guys
I am trying to cross compile glibc and I am running into this problem but I can't seem to be able to find any solution for it online.

checking for ANSI C header files... no
checking for sys/types.h... yes
checking for sys/stat.h... yes
checking for stdlib.h... yes
checking for string.h... yes
checking for memory.h... yes
checking for strings.h... yes
checking for inttypes.h... yes
checking for stdint.h... yes
checking for unistd.h... yes
checking for long double... yes
checking size of long double... configure: error: cannot compute sizeof (long double), 77
See `config.log' for more details.

I've attached my config.log and configure.out files... I am fairly new to this and I need some help with this.
Anybody knows that's going on with this?

I am trying to cross compile kernel 2.6.25 for arm on an 32 bit Ubuntu machine.

Looks like the version of gcc you are using doesn't support the long double type. Perhaps a newer version would help.
