Buggy client sent a _NET_ACTIVE_WINDOW message with a timestamp of 0

Always used to work but suddenly starting up Icons from screen gives message of "Buggy client sent a _NET_ACTIVE_WINDOW message with a timestamp of 0" in .xsession.errors

we really need some more information than that.
the usual:
Code:
uname -rv
cat /etc/*release*
apt update
assuming this is some ubuntu, as the icon in your side bar suggests.

what always used to work?

which client is throwing that error?

and is something actually not working, or are you just concerned about finding that message in .xsession.errors?

If the system is working, I wouldn't worry about the message.
