Hello,

Try to run firefox from a terminal, and post any warnings and/or errors that appear in the output within the terminal session for me.

Cheers,

Josh

Run the following as root and report back if it has fixed the conflicting issue:
Code:
xulrunner --register-global
Please note that if it doesn't work, the proper command should be "xulrunner-1.9" instead.

Cheers,

Josh

corp769,i did as u said but it is still giving the same error..

And when i again ran the same command for the second time it gave the following warning:

Warning : Configuration file 'etc/gre.d/1.9.2.24.conf' already exists.
No action performed.

And when i went into etc/gre.d directory,the contents of gre.d.conf was:

gre.d # Registration file generated by xulrunner.Do not edit.
[1.9.2.24]
GRE_PATH=/usr/xulrunner-1.9.2
xulrunner=true
abi=x86-gcc3

And the contents of 1.9.2.24.conf is was also the same..

And Tajmari the browser was working till yesterday afternoon,it stopped aftr dat on its own,don't knw y..

Thanks Mr.Deepak,ur command worked and now the browser is opening....wow m so happy...thanks once again..

And when i opened it from the terminal,the page opened but it also said :

(Gecko:4206): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager:
Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed.

Now can u tell me what was the problem(though it's working now..)?

Updating firefox was going to be the next option for you, since most likely, the configuration was borked. But it looks like you have done this already
I had other stuff to do, so that's why I wasn't able to reply back in time. Anyways.... glad to see you have gotten your issue resolved!

Cheers and good luck,

Josh
