Brother print driver Segmentation error??

Sorry for the dumb question I am new to Lnux long term Win user.

I have a Asus Eee 4gb Linux, and Brother MF printer mfc5440-cn that is eithernet connected, works fine with the network xp machines.

I downloaded the .deb driver and Cup for this model from Brother site.

When I try to load the driver with the brother recommended command
"dpkg -i --force-all --force-architecture mfc210clpr-1.0.0-1.i386.deb"

I receive a Segmentation fault error, and the pc hangs. I have tried "sudo apt-get upgrade" and it returns: "The package mfc5440cnlpr needs to be resinstalled but cannot locate archive"

I am at wits end and would appreciate any assistance you could provide Thank you

Fixed -- I believe

I redownloaded the Brother drivers, ran the dpkg command without the force and the package seemed to install ok

Update and Check also now run without any errors whew
