Brother HL-5250DN Printer Networked

Hello,

This printer worked for several days without a problem. Now it appears that the print jobs are send to the printer, but they are just sitting on the spooler.

Nothing I am able to do actually resends the file to the printer. Any suggestions on what "subject" to research so I can learn how to solve this problem?

Thanks for any suggestions,

mg92865

Have you tried turning the printer off, waiting a minute, then turning it back on? I have a Brother printer, and if the power glitches it sometimes needs a power cycle to come back online.

Thank you for the suggestion, yes I tried this, but all my documents are still waiting to be printed.

You don't list your distro, so it is more difficult to help.
Many printers have an "Online" switch. Check your printer is Online, and plugged in.
You say it is a networked printer, can you ping it?
Fire up cups, or whatever you used to install the printer, and make sure the printer is enabled.

If you are using CUPS, you can also check /var/log/cups/error_log to see if there is a problem being reported.
