Anyone else think it's ironic that a Linux switch commercial is in .wmv? ;)

Think about the target audience, it makes more sense. More than half the visitors are using Win98 or XP.

And the irony is kind of funny (and it's also the only server I have right now).

If these were going to be produced for a brand like Mandrake or RedHat, then you'd want to stream them off a different server. Real would love the plug.

I'm really surprised at the response. Hundreds of hits in just the last few hours. Majority are Windoze users, but it's close to half and half.

I think that really says something about the Linux community. The impression it leaves me is that no one has a real good grip on how big it is. And it also would seem to indicate there's a lot of interest in Linux right now. Some of the feedback I'm getting also points to a lot of displeasure with M$. That runs a continuum from annoyance to outright hatred. No surprise to anyone here, I'm sure.

Definitely it's a nicer community. You'd rarely get the kind of help and encouragement on a Windows board you find here.

I liked what I saw but for some strange reason I could hear it through media player using crossover-- I am thinking of buying it but I want the sound to work before I do though.

Anyway whenI get a chance I will plip on my Vendow$ and view it there.
I am having to much fun in Linux now to change it over now.

I now have SOUND and the comercial are riot.
Anybody know how I can slow the stream down just a little?
