Angry bootmgr is missing and dvd/rw needs drivers for device

win 7, and win 8 installs say bootmgr is missing. How do I fix that? Can i use parted magic? what do I DO? And windows installer says that i am missing device drivers for my dvd/rw drive and that it cannot proceed with install till i get device drivers! I have a Liteon Dvd/rw drive. Do I need to change the firmware or can I just download drivers for the drive on a USB flash drive?

No idea, since you don't provide any useful details. You mention Windows, but do NOT mention Linux..and this is LinuxQuestions. Do you have Linux installed? What did you do/try to do? Version/distro of Linux? Anything??

Just putting the error into Google pulls up lots of possible solutions:
http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/kb/article.php?id=411
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=87416
http://askubuntu.com/questions/22808...-boot-in-windo

Again, since you don't provide details, there's no way for us to know what may help you. And there's nothing we can help you with regarding Windows installer...that's between you and Microsoft and/or Liteon to find/load the driver.
