Bootloader Time Limit

Ok, I am new to Linux, so please bear with me. I have installed Mandriva linux. I'm sure this is a common gripe: How do I configure Linux so that the 10-second time restriction for me to choose either Linux or Windows at the bootloader prompt is removed? Specifically, I hate it when it just automatically goes to Linux, if I take my eyes off the screen for an instant. Thanks.

Depends on whether you're using Grub or Lilo. For the former, edit the "timeout" entry in /boot/grub/menu.lst, for the latter look in /etc/lilo.conf.
