Bootloader problems, what partition?

Ok so i've installed dual boot, windows 7 and backtrack4, grub loads and when i boot backtrack i get errors, I researched the errors and from what ive gathered the bootloader is installed on the wrong partition, at the end of the backtrack install if i click advanced i can specify bootloader partition.
Which one would work, what partition is the bootloader normally on

With boot loader are you going to use to boot both OS ?
Can windows 7 boot backtrack ?
And if so do you like to use windows boot loader to boot booth OS ?
In that case write backtrack boot loader on it boot partition , and add backtrack to windows boot menu .
If you like to use backtrack boot loader and backtrack can boot windows 7 write GRUB in MBR of SDA .
