Bootloader conflicts

i started with just windows XP. Then i installed windows 7, and windows 7 came with it's own bootloader that lets me choose between windows XP and windows 7. Then i moved both windows partition to the end of my HDD, and the windows 7 bootloader broke. I did that to make room for Arch Linux, so i thought that GRUB would fix that. Now i have GRUB up and running but it still doesn't work.
When i try to boot the windows XP partition from GRUB i get the old windows 7 bootloader again, which doesn't work because i moved partitions. Booting from windows 7 gives me :"BOOTMR is missing".
How do i make the windows XP and windows7 partition boot independent?
I can't boot into any windows installation right now.

I think by editing boot.ini file you can boot in xp and windows 7. Just try to open your boot.ini from linux and make required changes.

Thanks

my advice is this; use windows 7 boot disk to fix bootloader. then use this bootloader to boot any windows version you want to boot.

for fixing bootloader; boot with the install media, choose the repair and use cmd to fix the bootloader. commad to use as much as i know is bootrec.

Thanks guys, i ended up googling some stuff and i came across EasyBCD. You have to run it from Windows vista/7 but the install DVD recovery options took care of that.
