Booting up windows!!
Hi,
I have partitioned my HD and i have windows 2000 server and FC3 in the other.Initially i had windows in one partition and then i used the other partition to install FC3.FC3 boots up with no problem, but when i am trying to boot windows up by selecting OTHER from the Grub, it gives me the following error message
----------------------------
Booting 'Other'
root not verify (hd0,1)
Chainloader +1
NTLDR is missing
-----------------------------
Could anyone help me to rectify this problem? What might be the cause of this?
Appriciate for any help given.
Cheers,
Azzath

1) throw away Mandy
2)I think win requires one of its partitions to be bootable... not linux's one...

Azzath,
Windows NT, 2000 & XP all put the NTLDR file somewhere in the middle of the C: drive.
If you are getting a "NTLDR is missing" msg then you must have overwritten that windows boot file during the partitioning of the HD.
Here is what you need to do:
You need to copy the NTLDR program from your original Windows installation CD.
You can put the CD in the CD-Rom drive and try to repair the Windows installation from the Console. This will require that you input the Admin password to become root.
Here is the link: http://www.computerhope.com/boot.htm
Good Luck,
Thorn
