Angry booting process

Hi, I need someone to tell me where I can find the documentation for the Fedora 3 boot process. I DON'T mean stuff like init.d and the run levels. I am quite familiar with those. I want to know:

1. which script tells Fedora to load gdm (gnome display manager) when booting into gui runlevel
2. which script does Fedora use to set its locale

Thanks for the help of you experts...

I haven't ever looked up where Fedora stores it's locale information... however, the display manager question...

/etc/inittab runs the /etc/X11/prefdm script to determine your preferred X display manager.

Hope that helps.
J.
