Booting problem: Kubuntu 14.04 error no suitable video mode found
Hello,
We have Kubuntu 14.04 installed. Program will not boot because of error: no suitable video mode found. I did press the esc button and ran the memory, disk and diagnostics. All tests seem to be no errors. Not sure what to do next.
A little information on the hardware you are using, particularly the graphics card, might be useful. It's not possible from your post to know whether this is a new install or whether the operating system had been functioning and no longer does??

I am using Presario C061 Laptop (HP). When I boot up it just shows a curser in the upper left hand corner
Hello, It is a Presario C061 Laptop. This computer only has Linux on it... When I boot up it shows like it is shows the Kubuntu icon and like it is thinking and then just shows a red cursor in the upper left hand corner. If I press the shift key and enter key when booting then there are all kinds of dos commands, but then they disappear and there is just the cursor in the upper corner again.
