Hi kparhi and welcome to LQ.
Is this RHEL version 5? Please note that this version just went end of life this year and is on extended support.
Is this a licensed system? If so, then perhaps RedHat themselves are best capable to help you with a solution that fits correctly within their architecture.
Are you seeing a prompt?
Note that a possible solution actually shows up using a web search of your string, "hdc:irq time out :status=0xd0 {busy}", and it brings you to RedHat's support site. The problem is a person needs to log in to be able to view the solution.
Other search results seem to indicate that you have a hardware fault either in the drive itself or in the hardware leading to the drive, such as the controller.

RH5 or RHEL 5.11 ( or 5 point WHAT)
rh5 is from 1997
and rhel5 is at end of life
also this is redhat so did you BUY the required support contract ?
that gets you help from redhat
you are paying for it you might want to use that support
