booting problem

hi,
i installed linux RHEL 4.2, with a dual boot with win xp.
when i boot into linux from boot loader, it stops after..

"Red Hat nash version 4.2.1.10 starting"

and doesn't boot any further. even if i leave it for hours, it stays at the same point...

what's wrong with my installation??

Please do not wait hours as its a dead system.

2) the reasons for it vary and include....not recognising your hardware especially if its raid ...or wireless card...or video card.

I suggest you try a Centos live cd or dvd which is based on RHEL and see if it detects all of your hardware.
