Question Booting problem


<I had shut down the redhat linux system unproperly .when i tryed to login the system it showing your system is shutdown uncleanly what can i do to sort this problem what command can i run to troubleshoot booting problem of OS>

Maybe you could give us a log entry we could work on?

A filesystem check should do the job. If you can login to the box, just tell it to do a check on the next reboot. For that you can use the chutdown command or use tune2fs. It should do the check at boot time if the filesystem is dirty though.
