Booting mandrake with redhat

Hello,
I am facing a problem
initially,i had redhat and windows on my dual-boot machine.
after that ,i installed mandrake in a NEW partition, and NOW ,before booting, the mandrake graphical loader displays only the following options -
1.Linux
2.Linux(non fb)
3.failsafe
4windows
5.floppy
So, i can't access red-hat os anymore now although its still present (unmodified ) on the disk.
Could somebody tell me as to how to include "Red-hat Linux " in the boot -menu(alongwith ,of course, mandrake and windows)?

what boot loader are you using?

I don't know..its the loader supplied with mandrake ..is it Linux Loader(LILO)?

First you'll need to determine what partition RedHat is on in order to tell either GRUB or LILO what to boot. There might be a better way, but I would do this using fdisk to view what partitions are out there and compare them to the GRUB or LILO configuration. You might be able to use the command df, but that doesn't guarantee you'll see all the partitions. A word of caution: Be careful not to make any changes while using fdisk.

Once you know which partition RedHat is on you can add some configuration to your boot loader. I don't know what boot loader you are using since I don't have experience with Mandrake. If you are using LILO the config file is probably in /etc/lilo.conf. If using GRUB look for file /boot/grub/grub.conf. It is somewhat intuitive how to set up the new entry, but there are man pages to help (use man lilo.conf or man grub). If you still have trouble post your config file and the RedHat partition info and we can help you out.
