booting mandrake iso
hey, i tried using nero to create a bootable cd from the iso file. and when the cd rom was booting it said failure. so i clearly did somethin wrong. i was wondering if i could get instructions from someone who's done this already and what they used and how they did it etc. this would be a great help. thanks a lot.

as a starter. *when* did it say failure?

after it was done booting from the cd rom it said:

booting cd-rom

and continued loading windows

look here:
did you burn your CDs as instructed there? (there is no difference between distros when it comes to burning isos) One way of checking if you did it right is to open your cd in windows. If you have one file called something.iso on it, you did it wrong.

i realized that when i burnt the boot disk no information was copied on, i found this out when i checked what was on the disk from windows. i don't know why nothing was copied. the version of nero i used was 10.
