bootdisk with network support?

Hey..
I made an misstake on my Redhat Lnux box earlier..
/etc was deleted..

And I really need some files in /home on that box now.
(yeah I should have made an backup...)

I dont have the cds at home atm so I cant reinstall.
Does it exist any bootdisk that can mount the hdd and also have network support with an ftpclient?

Or if I get the cds and reinstall will the /home dir be intact?

Any other solution are welcome also :)

Thanks for any help.

boot images with network support do exist. I have one but don't where I got it. However I can e-mail it to you if you would like. You may want to try a search on google.com to find images.

The Slackware boot/root disks should work for you.

ftp://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackwar...-8.0/rootdsks/
