Bootdisk in Mandrake 9.0
seriously.
how do i create one? and i dont mean an install bootdisk. i've been looking all over. /p |
In a terminal, as root, type:
mkbootdisk --device /dev/fd0 2.4.18-11 Replace the number 2.4.18-11 with the version number of your kernel. Press enter to continue as prompted. |
mandrake(9) seems to have problems(for me anyways) creating boot disks sometimes an easier way to do this is simply to use the mandrake 9 cd-1 and press the F1 key for more options then type rescue and follow the prompts, of course if your using this as your normal way to boot to linux this will be a hassle but if your just using it as a backup or to reinstall lilo when you put windows on it works just fine then you dotn have to deal with making a perfect disk
