BOOT_IMAGE error message

Hi,

I am running Fedora 23 on a Lenovo W550s laptop. After the system boots I get the following message in a pop up window, on top of my Gnome screen.

"Oops! We're sorry. It looks like BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-4.2.6-300.fc23.x86_64 has crashed"

The message appears even after a kernel update. Sometimes it never appears, sometimes it appears just after I boot and I am in Gnome and sometimes it keeps repeating. I just close the message window and everything works, it is just a nuisance, it doesn't seem to affect the working of my system.

I did a self test of my laptop and everything passes. I am also running a second copy (dual boot) of Fedora 23 on an external USB 3.0, 2 terabyte drive and I still get the message.

Please advise,
Thank you,
Joe

Fedora is a state of flux always, as you are experimenting with 'updates' to make RHEL better.

In my view, I'll take the software, thank you. I'll pass on the updates except bug fixes and security fixes. That will get flames, but I have a thick skin:-).

Often if you remake the initrd you solve the kernel issues. Make it just for your box.
