boot problems
 

i just installed mandrake linux 10.1.....when i boot into it i get the command line asking for root and password...i enter those but then it doesnt get into my gui....installed gnome....how do i fix this??

have you installed it with option to boot into X by default? If not, try running 'startx' to start GUI and then run 'drakconf' and enable the option...
