boot loader
I installed Fedora 6 on my G4 with two hard drives. On master drive is OS X and on the slave Mac OS 9.1 and Fedora 6. The drive is 40gb and the Linux partition is 22gb. There was no problem in installing the Fedora Core but I cannot boot into it. It does not show up on the startup disc. Previously when I installed linux-ppc-lppc-2k-q4 by Wiesenmeyer, the Boot X did a fine job giving me the option of either starting in Linux or Mac OS. I tried to use Boot X with Fedora installation but it does not work although I had copied the kernels.
Also after installing Fedora 6 the mac operating systems disappear but reappear after the drivers are updated but then Fedora disappears. So the question is how can I make the computer see the Fedora installation and how can I have the option of booting into any of the OSes. Thanks in advance for help. |
Try looking here - it gives a good description of what to do to dual-boot OSX and Linux, and (for me at least) rEFIt has worked flawlessly.
