PaulGoold LQ Newbie Registered: Aug 2006 Posts: 14 Rep:	Boot Knoppix from Torsian CD?!?!? I've replaced my DVD drive with a cheap Torsion CD rom drive in my HP ZT3010us laptop. The laptop has a completely empty formatted hdd and i wanted to boot Knoppix from CD and then do a HDD install using knoppix - installer. The problem I have is the error message, can't find Knoppix kernel and reading the forums it looks like my CD drive is not compatible!!! Is there a solution without buying another replacement cd drive? This saga has been running for several weeks now as I try one way and then move onto an alternative solution. Please, please, please help.
