boot issues

Hi can anyone help with this problem;

have installed slackware on Intel laptop;

get lilo prompt, take the default linux (only linux on pc)

it runs through boot up until it gets to:

Intel PCIC probe:
Intel i82365sl B step at 0x3e0 ofs 0x00, 2 sockets
host opts [0]: none
host opts [1]: none

and just sits there, I can't issue any commands and have to do a hard reboot, it does a fsck on the /dev/hda1 & 2 and ends up at the same point, I've wiped the disk and installed the software 3 times with the same results.

any ideas?

thanks in advance,
WGM

solved it, had a pcmcia network card in, just removed that and into linux I go, only problem now is how do I get it to boot into the GUI like windows other than the command line stuff?

It is possible your graphics card needs specific drivers compiled after installation to get GUI. You should post all hardware information for best help results.
