Question Boot failed...Disk Error 10?

Ok, I am totally new to Linux, but from what I've read I'll like it a lot. My problem is, however, that I can't install it. I'm running Windows98 SE and paritioned off part of the drive for Mandrake 9.1. The error message I get is a "Boot Failed" and a "isolinux: Disk error 10, AX = 4262, drive EF". I haven't been able to find what Disk Error 10 means. What would any of you suggest to remedy this problem? Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated!

Maybe knowing the following things in detail would be helpful

1. How did you partition your hard drive with win98? What is the partition table on your computer at this moment?

2. What distrubution of Linux are you using? What version? How did you install it?

3. Did you install LILO as the bootloader during installation?
