Boot disk
I'm having a bit of trouble creating a boot disc for redhat es3. I tried a floppy but the .img files are too bit. So i tried a cd and this doesn't work, clearly im doing something wrong.
This is going to be used for kickstart so i need the ks.cfg file too. Anyway, with a CD i made an iso file with all the files from the isolinux folder plus the ks.cfg file. This doesn't boot at all. The files I've got are: boot.cat initrd.img isolinux.bin isolinux.cfg ks.cfg splash.lss TRANS.TBL vmlinuz some .msg files. Clearly im doing something wrong here but i cant see what. Any ideas if this is the correct procedure to create a boot cd from a windows machine? Thanks, Lewis |
You can download and use the "Ultimate Boot CD".
