book recommendation?

I'm looking for a decent overview-type Linux book that would describe things like:
- sequence of events when Linux starts up
- structure of the file system, everything's a file, /proc, /dev, /etc

I've looked at a few of the O'Reilly books but am not sure which one would be best. Maybe "Understanding the Linux Kernel"?

Any suggestions?

structure of the file system, everything's a file, /proc, /dev, /etc

look at the fhs(google it)

both of those are more reference material rather than an introductory text, i would reccomend for an introduction to linux/unix the rute users guide by paul sheer(its in my bookmarks)
