Bluetooth won't start on Fedora 8 dist - HCI and RFCOMM issues

Hi
I'm trying to set up some basic btooth file sharing on my acer aspire one fedora 8 build using a Belkin USB dongle and hopefully Bluetooth dial up networking after this if I can get anything working!
Having installed the bluez-utils, lib and various other pkgs I am unable to start the bluetooth service or any of the associated daemons.
The errors I get are:
"Can't open RFCOMM control socket" and "Can't open HCI socket.: Address family not supported by protocol"
Do I need to enable bluetooth in the kernel and if so how/where can I check and update this if required?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thx
Moo

Fixed issue

Found a fix - great site for acer aspire one users too:

Search for rfcomm takes you direct to article for how to add the bluetooth.ko kernel module as suspected!

The ftp site for the source zip wouldn't work for me but a simple google for the zip will return other ftp sites from which to get it.

There is a link further down to a precompiled one but I would suggest following the first link and building from source as is quite enlightening!
