Bluetooth Pairing on Ubuntu 10.04

Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 which has Bluez 4.60.
I'm trying to pair my mobile phone with PC via bluetooth.
I followed these steps :

'anuja@ubuntu:~$ hcitool dev
anuja@ubuntu:~$ hcitool scan'

Now for pairing, I found 'Bluetooth-agent' at '/usr/bin/bluetooth-agent'.

'anuja@ubuntu:~$ bluetooth-agent 1234
Can't register agent
Agent already exists'

bluetooth-agent details are :
'Bluetooth agent ver 4.60

Usage:
agent [--adapter adapter-path] [--path agent-path] <passkey> [<device>]'

This might be useful in storing default pass-key.

How to use this bluetooth-agent for pairing??or is there any other way for pairing without using GUI??

It may help to mention what you want to do with your mobile phone. Are you trying to tether it with Ubuntu for internet use? or are you trying to access the file system?
For accessing phone specific features, you may want to try using Gammu which should be available via Synaptic.
Personally, I find that it's generally less hassle to use the usb cable that is usually supplied with a phone.

Hey,
thanks for the suggestion.
I'm trying to make a file transfer from mobile to PC.
I know i can do this using USB but its apart of project which will run without human intervention.
I read about Gammu, I think its not for file transfer. Its says file transfer can be done using bluetooth which needs phone & PC to be paired.
