bluetooth on suse

hi

ive had suse for a couple of weeks now - and ive managed to set everything up, except for my scanner (an old primax colorado which i was told isnt compatable with suse 9.1), and bluetooth.

Ive tried several times now to get the bluetooth working. The blue light is on the adapter (BELKIN), and pretty much like everyone else, they only provided drivers for windows.

I tried to download blueZ - but it gave me a tar.gz file with another file in there - and i tried to find howtos on the net but ive had no luck.

could someone please help me because our home network is run using bluetooth (and this supplies the internet via a proxy server) and i dont wanna go back to windows on this computer because it cannot connect to the network.

thanks in advance

brian

Before doing that, use Yast to install kbluetooth. It should bring in the dependencies you need (ie. bluez) automatically and kbluetooth is a pretty GUI that can do what you need :)
