Bluetooth Not Running at Startup

Greetings,

I'm running CentOS 6.4 Gnome interface. I want Bluetooth to be running at startup and there is a Bluetooth Icon in the tray at the bottom of the screen but the Icon has an 'x' in it. When I click the icon and click on preferences it shows that Bluetooth is disabled, try to start it and nothing happens.

How and where should I look to try to find out what is happing and how to resolve it.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

I don't use bluetooth, but I would try
Code:
chkconfig bluetooth on
if you want it to start at boot; otherwise, I would just run
Code:
 service bluetooth start
when I wanted to use it, and
Code:
 service bluetooth stop
to shut it down when done. You might have to do the same thing with hidd, and possibly a couple of other programs....

(All of this must be done as root/superuser)

HTH

Thanks, it's started but nothing else. Anyone have any other thoughts on this issue?

Do you mean that it starts, but then goes back to as disabled state??
