Hello

System:
linux Mint Cinnamon

Device:

Intel® Core™ i5-2430M 2.40GHz, 6GB DDR3
nVidia GeForce GT 525M 2GB

Story:
Bluetooth was working just fine until my laptop ran out of battery and restarted.
I've tried different commands and now I can't even the see app in the menu

Quote:

bluez is already the newest version.
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:

Quote:
sudo /etc/init.d/bluetooth status
* bluetooth is running

Quote:
sudo /etc/init.d/bluetooth restart
* Stopping bluetooth [ OK ]
* Starting bluetooth

Quote:
sudo rfkill list

Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no

Quote:
sudo apt-get install bluez-toools

Usage:

Quote:

Yes, I have installed Blueman

I get the following error when I try to open it

"Bluetooth needs to be turned on for the device manager to open"

Any solution?

Thanks,

Also, I have tried this

Quote:
After some googling I finally came across the solution here. The fix is to download the firmware for your bluetooth adapter and place it in the place the bluetooth kernel module expects it to be in, then to reload the bluetooth kernel module.

sudo mkdir -p /lib/firmware/brcm
sudo wget https://s3.amazonaws.com/plugable/bin/fw-0a5c_21e8.hcd -O /lib/firmware/brcm/BCM20702A1-0a5c-21e8.hcd
sudo rmmod btusb bnep bluetooth btrtl btintel bnep btbcm
sudo modprobe btusb bnep bluetooth btrtl btintel bnep btbcm
Also, I installed BlueDevil and AmoraDaemon. I get "Adapters not found" when I try to open them.
