Bluetooth adapter is not found in my ubuntu 11.10 in Compaq Presario CQ40


Bluetooth adapter is not found in my ubuntu 11.10 in Compaq Presario CQ40. What can I do ? please help me.

Try using a cheap generic usb Bluetooth adapter for testing. As far as I can tell, the Bluetooth module in that laptop is integrated with the Wlan module. That usually requires special firmware.
Note: not all bluetooth chipsets work reliably with Linux, but most usb adaptors from reputable brands work fine.
