can you tell us what distribution you are using, and can you post the output of "lspci".

"it says there is no device found" what application is telling you this?

if you are using kde and debian/ubuntu trying using "apt-get install kdebluetooth"

i need as much information as i can get. Do you know the name of your linux distribution....what is written on the cd if you installed it, if you downloaded it what did it say...when it starts does it say redhat, ubuntu, debian...there are thousands of distributions and they differ slightly so i need to know in order to help.

on the bottom left of your desktop do you see a big K or a Footprint?
