Why did you don't install BlueJ with a .rpm , you use Mandrake no?

as root:

urpmi BlueJ

or if you have a .rpm file :

rom -ivh name_of_rpm.rpm

***edit

If you are using Linux, the jar file is ready to use. Simply type java -jar bluej-130.jar(or whatever version you have) to run the program.
