Block mail service & kernel bit
 
Dear Friends ,
I have some follwing questions :

1) is it possible to restrict a service / service port against a user .

I want a situation where in my mail server , all user cannot use my mail service . I need to restrict user ... How can I do this . Here I mention that all user of my server locates in /home directory . I m using Linux RHEL 4 server .

2) I want to know the kernel bit , is it either 64 or 86 bit ? using which command I can get the result ? In the present time which kernel bit Linux is used ?

uname -a will show which kernel you are currently running, including architecture.

Depending on the mail server, you could place individual restrictions (such as requiring authentication, only allowing certain users, etc.)
