blender 3d missing libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3


Blender gives me that error except I cant find the missing files anywhere for fedora and i386 architecture. I cant seem to find an rpm none of the links work.


./blender: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Hi arkamir

Do a search for the thread "cant run blender3d" - posted by rockgorilla.
The answer is there.

hmm I dont remember, that was quite a while back. Check your rpms, i think you have to go on a web hunt for it. Be prepared for a lot of dependency packages.

Of course, after I posted, I monkeyed around with it a bit more and got it to work. With Fedora Core 1, you need compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.118.i386.rpm. I did a search on rpm.pbone.net to find it.
