Black screen with login

Hi, I am a linux newbie. I was switching between workspaces in linux lite 5.2. I generally do that by Ctrl+Alt+Right/Left Arrow Keys but this time I was pressing Ctrl+F1/F2. By mistake I pressed Ctrl+Shift+F1 or Ctrl+Shift+F2. A window opened with black screen that reads:

Linux Lite 5.2 LTS parmanand-Inspiron-N4010 tty2
parmanand-Inspiron-N4010 login: _

Is this root user login? If yes, then how can I close this window without logging in as root?

No, that is a virtual console. Either log in as root and reboot, or CTRL+ALT+F7 to go back to the GUI.
