black screen on a inspiron one 2320


I still have the task bar at the bottom and the time temp. up top. No icons on the side or the short cuts icons.

You could start by providing information on which of the hundreds of Linux distributions you are using.
Is this a new install? If not, did you ever have it the way you want it? If you did, what changes to hardware/software if any occurred just befoe this problem?
