Black Screen after first boot (Debian 6.0.6)(linux newbie)


hello , i installed debian 6.0.6 i386 on my pc, the installation went well but after the first boot the screen went black,i can get to the point where the system ask me what to start ( debian , debian recovery) but after that my screen says "no system input" (note that the computer still works),i have found solutions to my problem but because of my newbieness i cant understand what exactly to do. if you could give me step by step instructions i would be much grateful.

i tryed to reinstall debian but nothing changed
i have installed the graphical environment
graphic card : asus ah3650
cpu : intel celeron D 2.40 Ghz
had windows xp before
this is my first time getting linux

if you need more information about my problem please tell me

So, if I understand well, you press choose Debian and then your screen goes blank, right? What happens if you choose "Debian recovery" instead?

its the same with both options , it shows some lines of text and then it goes blank. thank you for helping

i dont need the answer anymore, i chanced to lubuntu and it worked fine.
