Bittorrent Problem

I am running SUSE 10.O and I am having troubles running Bittorent properly because my ports are still blocked. I have already activated port forwarding on my Linksys router but Im still having problem unblocking the ports on the software side. So my question is how do I find out on linux what ip address is assigned to my Network Card (Not Router)? And how do I unblock TCP and UDP ports on linux?

In Yast under 'security and users' click firewall options. On the left should be an 'allowed services' button. Click on advanced and Yast will allow you to choose which ports to unblock.

The above naming conventions may be different as cant remember exactly - at work at the moment on M$.

You can get your current IP address using the console command 'ifconfig'. Specifically, the 'inet addr' field.
