BitTorrent on Mandrake 9.2

Hi all!

I've recently installed a Mandrake 9.1 (Upgraded to 9.2) box that I want to use as my main downloading machine. I'm having a little trouble getting a GUI version of BitTorrent working in KDE though.
I've tried installing the client & GUI that are included on the Mandrake discs, but get an error when loading the client...

ERROR.(09:35) -
arguments are -
--max_uploads <arg>
the maximum number of uploads to allow at once. (defaults to 4)

--keepalive_interval <arg>
number of seconds xxxxxxxx en sending keepalives (defa xxxxx

The xxxxxx bits are covered by the "Close" button and cut off by the right edge of the window.

I've tried installing the Shadows client, but it says that the kde-common package needs to be removed to install it, then after that says that kde-common is required but missing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Zombie13.

I installed Shadow's client (a much better client anyhow) from source, and it worked for me. You just unpack the source, and associate .torrent files with the btdownloadgui binary that's in your new folder.
There are instructions in the documentation to associate the MIME type (i think that's what it's called...) systemwide with a config file in /etc... forget the name. Read the docs.

Shadow's client:
http://bt.degreez.net/

Make sure you have wxpython installed - it needs that to run.
