BitTorrent Error Need Help!


Hi there I have been using bit torrent for a while now with no problems however the last 3 days i have been getting this error message

error(s):[23:43:29] Problem connecting to tracker - <urlopen error (-3, 'Temporary failure in name resolution')>

Does anyone know what it mean and also does anyone know how to cure it please help me i hate not being able to download.

The server i run i have to connect to using shell/putty and I run a debian op/sys.

Remember I am very new to this and will need to know exactly what to do i idolise you guys for knowing stuff about linux it looks so complex.

"Temporary failure in name resolution"

Sounds to me like the domain name of the tracker is down or your DNS server is not working. I don't think you can do anything about this.

Try using a different bittorrent

OK if it is dns as i rent the server from company in america should they fix it? As really wanna make the best of my 100mbit upload/download.

I'd just go with a different torrent file... save a lot of time and headaches...
