ok how big of a hard drive should i get..

depends what you want on it. It seems like you arent goiong to be using it for much but you wont find much onder 40GB so anything aroudn there will work. a 4oGB hard drive should be like $25 or so i would guess. but from there you could keep going up to about 400GB.
