You might wanna actually use things like the optical mouse on the other computer. Although in Mandrake 9.0 they are using DevFS, which means that it creates the devices each time you boot, so it probably won't matter, but your probably going to have a better time anyway if you just do use it during the initial install.

Good Luck

Yes, it's very nice up here, it has been a bit cold lately though.

It probably won't make a massive difference on the mouse, but if it does you know where to come I hope things go well for ya though

Unhappy Which Distro?? cOnFuSeD!!

Niceto hear you Help an Australian Out with her Dilemna.
My little Problem is Iam using OLD distro for a entry level machine-- A COMPAQ DESKPRO2000/166 Pentium with 64mb RAM(simms) and a MATROX MIllenium VIDEO CARD(2 meg) and a 3COM 3c509 ETHeRNET NIC card. MY Distro is a REDHAT 6.0 from a GREAT book I purchased discounted @BARNES &NOBLE BOOKSTORE-Secrets Of RedHat Linux by Naba Barkakati (for $7.98) It installs fine even when I tried to UPGRADE it by installing my "PENGUIN BOOK" COMPLETE LINUX OPERATING SYSTEM 6.5 (by MacMillan Publishing -Linux-Mandrake HELIOS 6.1(ironically my OLD OS) .

The problem IS when I tired to upgrade to REDHAT 7.3 (from REDHAT LINUX For DUMMIES 7.3 ,ALL I got on the screen is a bunch of Xwindows type of Interference gibberish -Total Confusion!!!! would not auto -install!!!!!!!!!!!!! so I put 7.3 on a Seperate Harddrive ,Have to physically re-install the drive to access it -How Convienient !!!!!!!!!

So what goes????? Am I just lost or what????? ChIlIBoWl
